Build as well as you design. Use the terminal as naturally as you move rectangles around in Figma.

Try it. Cycle through the photos, drag the sliders, change the colors. This is Color Shift. You’ll build this exact app in the training and at the end have it running on your own iPhone. The AI skills you build here keep paying off as the tools keep changing.

Note from MDS: AI is a powerful tool, but the hands powering it are yours. What gets built is exactly as good as the context you bring. In this Claude Code training, you’ll learn ways of working with AI that outlast trends and tools, and how to hand the model enough of what’s in your head that it builds against your intent.
Read the spec in color-shift.md and the context files. Before you write anything, tell me what we're building.

Process

The lessons teach the MDS method. The design exercises put it to work building Color Shift, from real live repos. Along the way you’ll learn six modes of working with AI. Ideation, research, spec, build, play, refine.

01
Map
Gather the raw material, spec the build, create the context, and hand the model what’s in your head before it goes rogue.
02
Decide
Canvas or code, native or custom, what stays and what gets cut. Comprehension checks before the build begins.
03
Structure
Build, refine with precision, and ship. First on the web, then a native iOS app on your phone.

Inside

The finished Color Shift app is what you’ll build. More importantly, the lessons teach the principles behind the work, and the same methodology carries into every project you ship after it. This is all one Shift Nudge membership, with a VIP path that adds weekly live critiques with MDS.

FAQS

No. Claude writes the code; you direct it. The course assumes zero dev experience and starts at the terminal.

20 lessons, most between 5 and 17 minutes, so you can watch the full course in about a week. The 24+ hour behind-the-scenes content works to complement the lessons for anyone who wants more depth.

The building happens on your own schedule, roughly 8 hours of practice across four phases, with the real repos, reference files, and skill files to build from. Your first thing ships by lesson eight.

The practice runs on a real project with real deliverables, and every lesson ends with posting your work in the community. Something of yours is live on the internet by lesson eight, and momentum does the rest.

The lessons teach the method: how to spec, how to steer, and how to iterate with precision. The behind-the-scenes content is where you watch every click of the real build, 24+ hours of it. The design exercises are where you make it yours. The split is deliberate, and it's why the exercises are where the course actually lives.

Both, in order. You build Color Shift first, from the supplied repos, so there's no blank-page stall and nothing touches your company's work. Then the same method runs on whatever you want to ship next. The lessons on speccing and context are written for exactly that.

You can, and plenty do. Free tutorials teach whatever tool is popular this month, and that knowledge expires. The eye and the method transfer to every tool that comes next, and that's the part worth paying for.

No. The Claude Code training ships as part of one Shift Nudge membership, together with the full UI training, the Portfolio Workshop, the critique vault, and the community. The skills compound. The eye from the UI training is what makes the building here good.

The method outlasts the tools: specs, context, judgment. That layer keeps its value no matter what ships next.

A Claude account, about $20 a month. Free GitHub and deploy accounts. And for the iOS chapter, a Mac.

The curriculum keeps evolving, and everything new ships to you, included.

Tools keep changing. Shift Nudge builds the eye and the skills to know what to do with them. This will show up in your designs, how you defend your decisions, and what ultimately gets shipped.
